[AMN] New Review: Eden: It's an Endless World! Vol. 1

One common complaint I hear (and make!) about manga and anime is that the stories will often include some really interesting, important issues, delve into philosophy, employ symbolism ... but never really go anywhere with such things. Crosses and biblical words litter anime without any real context. Gay characters are often just foils for everyone else to play off. So often there are hints of something truly interesting, but they end up as pieces hijacked from outside and deployed just for visual appeal.
