[AMN] New Review: Le Chevalier D'Eon Vol. 1 (Anime)

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Le Chevalier D'Eon, produced by Production I.G. and distributed in the US by ADV, tells the story of French knight (or chevalier in French) D'Eon de Beaumont, a spy for King Louis XV. The story is roughly - very roughly - based on the life of the historical figure, and more closely on Tow Ubukata's historical fantasy novel of the same name.

At first, Le Chevalier D'Eon flew completely under my radar. I almost missed it. I happened to catch a free episode of it on ADV's website and was immediately taken. The unique time period, impressive visuals, and especially the great English language dub all attracted me to the show.
